2022 “Excellence…It Starts With Me” Award Winners
Corporate Banking relationship manager Brad Adamson has helped Zions Bank grow by establishing relationships with major, multi-million-dollar companies throughout Utah. These entities chose Zions Bank because of Adamson and his well-known reputation of integrity, hospitality and unbeatable customer service.
Lisa Atkinson has a reputation as a Treasury market expert and has been a key driver of revenue growth in the Boise area. Atkinson is respected by her peers and business partners and is always willing to step in and help wherever needed. She takes to heart Zions Bank’s Guiding Principle to create value in the communities we serve through participation in many volunteer activities.
Gaylene Glines has worked in the Roosevelt Branch for almost 45 years. Clients naturally gravitate to her because they know she has a willingness to put them first and provide exceptional customer service every day. Glines is extremely knowledgeable and strives for excellence in every aspect of her job. She also serves as a mentor to her colleagues.
Business Banking Director David Kirby has been instrumental in the creation and growth of the Practice Pathways group, which provides financial solutions for medical professionals. Kirby has worked diligently to build a nationwide team of experienced bankers and a robust lending network. He is a great leader who cares about the people on his team and always leads by example.
As a credit manager in the Specialty Loan Servicing group, Sean McCarty supports the National Real Estate, Practice Pathways and Community Banking teams. Over the last year, Sean has overseen and applied many changes to his responsibilities and department to help standardize procedures and reduce operating costs. McCarty is an amazing example of collaboration, active listening, ingenuity and positivity. He has an innate ability to find a win-win solution with all parties and is a positive leader who is well-respected by his colleagues and executive partners.
Since joining Zions Bank more than 10 years ago, Hilary Scott has played a critical role in the success of the Eastern Idaho team. She has exhibited a desire and willingness to learn and a focus on excellence. In addition to her regular responsibilities underwriting loans and assisting relationship managers, Scott has been a constant resource for others in the bank. Her positive attitude and work ethic show through all she does and is an example that strengthens the team every day.
Mark Garfield has spent his career assisting companies throughout the Western United States in trade finance, foreign exchange and international payments. Since joining Zions 17 years ago, Garfield has helped the company increase its offering of international banking services. He has introduced the Zions Bancorporation name to much of the global correspondent banking world, helping the company gain recognition as a leader in the international banking community.
Customer Care Center Representative Jeannie Hunt shows empathy and never hesitates to go the extra mile to find solutions for clients and co-workers. She takes the time to educate clients on how they can leverage bank products and services and provides outstanding service to everyone, regardless of whether they bank with Zions. She is always striving for one-call resolutions and takes ownership to resolve issues. For Hunt, the client always comes first.
Andrew Nee has been an essential member of the Human Resources Information Systems department since 2010. As his department replaced the bank’s payroll and employee and manager self-service systems, Nee worked tirelessly to ensure they were configured correctly and that all data was migrated. He exemplifies the dedication and quality of work performed by the entire HRIS department, and we are grateful for his leadership and efforts that benefit the entire organization.
With 45 years of service to Zions, Don Orton’s expertise has been invaluable during the process of replacing our core banking systems. As we approach full implementation, this is a particularly poignant moment to recognize the person in our company who has had a large historical impact on how Zions processes deposits. Orton goes above and beyond in supporting his own team and those outside his group. He is known as one of the most kind and considerate individuals at Zions Bank.
In the various roles held during his 11 years with Zions Bancorporation, Mikey Reynolds, Jr. has shown his ability to take on new responsibilities with care and dedication. He regularly demonstrates a deep understanding of bank processes and is considered an expert in the regulations he oversees. Despite his heavy workload, Reynolds continues to successfully build strong team camaraderie and cultivate a positive work environment, resulting in a high-performing team.
Over the past year a small operational team has been diligently working on processing Paycheck Protection Program loan forgiveness applications for borrowers. Justin Simpson has been the brains, the heart and the tireless engine driving this operation. He set the standard for establishing the operations and support teams that coordinate the bank’s PPP forgiveness efforts. He has educated our bankers and clients about the intricacies of the forgiveness process and remained up-to-date on the frequently changing rules. Simpson has been an incredible leader of the small but unbelievably productive and effective operational team.
