Jason Brock spends his days working on projects that have helped transform how Zions Bancorporation conducts business, including new online and mobile banking systems that launched in 2021 and a complete update of the organization’s public websites. These projects take months or even years to complete, are not without hurdles, and can have budgets in the tens of millions of dollars.
So it might be surprising that Brock spends his free time in a decidedly unleisurely way: Training for and participating in endurance competitions, including the Ironman® World Championship in St. George, Utah, on May 7, which consists of a 2.4-mile swim, 112-mile bike ride and a 26.2-mile run.
He’ll be joined by another Zions Banker, Sara Porter, a veteran of several half and full marathons, triathlons, and mountain bike and gravel ride events.
